Home directory backup will backup data in your home directory, but it is just a partial backup; it does not contain DNS, MySQL, or other system files or settings.
1. Login in to cPanel with valid credentials.
2. Under the Files section, click on Backup, or search for Backup in the search box.
3. Under Partial backups section, click on Home Directory under the Download a Home Directory Backup sub section
4. This will automatically begin downloading inside the Downloads folder.
Note: The backup file has the extension .tar.gz and can be opened with a Linux command. It can also be unzipped on a Windows system with proper zip software.
