How to add TXT record for google verification

You need to validate your domain before using services like Google Search Console.

Google provides you  a TXT record to add in your DNS zone file.

  1. Log in to the cpanel.   
  1.  Within the cPanel DOMAINS section, click on Zone Editor.
  1. To add the verification code to a domain, click Manage next to it.
  1. Click the + Add Record drop-down arrow and click Add TXT Record
  1. Look for a TXT record add option.
  1. Enter the domain name for which the TXT record should be added in the “Name” or “Host” column.
  1. Enter the value for the TXT record that you want to add in the “Value” or “Record” field. Google provides this value when you added your domain to confirm the site’s ownership.
  1. Save the updated TXT record then wait for the change to propagate.
  1. Return to Google at this time to finish the domain and TXT record verification processes.
