Create staging website using Softaculous

Softaculous also offers a staging feature that allows you to create a copy of your live WordPress website and test changes on it without affecting your live site.

Steps to create a staging website.

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Look for the WordPress Manager by Softaculous and click on the WordPress icon.
  1. On the WordPress Management page, you should be able to see a list of all your WordPress websites.
  1. Click on the Down arrow         next to the website you want to create a staging site for.
  1. Scroll down and look for the Staging section. Click on the “Staging” button.
  1. In the staging site setup page, enter the details for your staging site, including the site URL, database name.
  1. Once you have entered all the details, click on the “Create Staging” button to create your staging site.
  2. You can then use the staging site to test out new features, plugins, or themes without affecting your live site.
  3. When you are satisfied with the changes you have made on the staging site, you can push them to the live site.

Note : Remember to always back up your website before making any changes to it, and to test your changes thoroughly on the staging site before pushing them to the live site.
