Create Auto-responder in Cpanel

The Autoresponder is a cPanel email function that may be used to deliver prepared answer messages to everyone who sends mail to a specific inbox.

Steps to create  autoresponder in Cpanel

  1. Login to cpanel account
  2. In Email section click on Autoresponder icon
  1. Under Managing Select the domain which you want to set autoresponder.
  1. Click on Add Autoresponder.
  1. In the next window –  the Character Set dropdown menu, select a character set for the email. (UTF-8 is the most commonly used and recommended.)
  1. Enter the number of hours you want the Autoresponder to wait between responses to the same email address in the Interval area. (In other words, how long does it wait before responding to the same sender with a second auto-response? This way, if the same person emails you many times, they won’t receive multiple auto-replies.
  2. In the Email field, type the beginning part of the email address you wish to create an Autoresponder.
  3. In the domain dropdown box  select the Domain for the email address.
  4. In the From field, enter the name that the auto-response will be from.
  5. In the Subject field, give the subject you would like the Autoresponder to contain.
  6. Click the HTML checkbox if the body of the email contains HTML. If you leave it unchecked, HTML tags will show up as plain text in the auto-response.In the Body field, provide the message you wish to send in the Autoresponder. You can use tags to insert information:

%subject% – This displays the subject in the body of the email.

%from% – This shows the name of the sender Autoresponder is replying to.

%email% – This shows the sender’s email address.

  1. Select the Start and Stop time.You may set custom start and stop timing. after clicking on custom it will open Calendar.
  2. Click Create/Modify.

The Autoresponder will promptly begin sending replies from the email address you specified based on your selected start time.
