- Log in to your Plesk control panel using your administrator credentials.
- Once logged in, click on the “Databases” tab in the left-hand navigation menu.
- In the “Databases” section, click on the “Add Database” button to create a new database.
- Provide a name for the database in the “Database name” field. Choose a name that is descriptive and relevant to the application or website that will use the database.
- Select the database type from the drop-down menu. Plesk supports various database types such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc. Choose the appropriate type based on your requirements.
- If needed, select the option to create a database user or choose an existing user from the drop-down menu. A database user is necessary to access and manage the database.
- Enter a password for the database user in the “New password” and “Confirm password” fields. Alternatively, you can use the “Generate” button to create a secure password.
- Click on the “OK” or “Apply” button to create the database.
Plesk will create the database and associated user based on the provided information. You can then use the database for your applications or websites by configuring the connection settings with the appropriate database credentials.
