How to set a redirect for my website in cPanel

Sometimes we want to set a redirection from abc.com to pqr.com and want all traffic from one domain to another.

  1. Login to your cpanel account.
  2. In the domains section, click on the redirect option.

Permanent (301): this redirect will update bookmarks for users and point search engines to the newly launched website.

Temporary (302): The visitor or search engine will be redirected, but the bookmark won’t be updated and the search engine will keep indexing the old page.

  1. Select the type of redirection.
  2. Select the domain for which you want to set redirection
  3. Enter the path of the domain where you redirect your website.

Do Not Redirect www.: If visitors include www. as part of the URL, the redirect will not be effective.

Only redirect with www.: The redirect will be effective if all visitors to the page use the www. portion of the URL.

Redirect with or without www.: Whether or not www. is included in the URL, the redirect will function.
6.Click on the Add button in order to create the redirect.
